Join Us for Public Testimony on the Budget on May 13 at City Hall

Community members wear shirts that say Our Philly, Our Budget

Philadelphia needs a full and equitable budget now more than ever. With the Trump administration slashing federal funding, and everyday Philadelphians struggling to have their basic needs met, our city budget must invest in essential services and programs that keep our communities safe, healthy, and whole.

Please join us next Tuesday, May 13 as City Council hears public testimonies! This is our opportunity to tell elected officials what our communities need, from affordable mental healthcare to fully funded public schools, libraries that are open seven days a week to community-led violence prevention programs.

If you’re interested in speaking, the Alliance for a Just Philadelphia is hosting an event this Thursday, May 8 to help you prepare. You can sign up here to join

Whether you want to speak or not, please join us to pack City Hall at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, May 13. Testimonies will be happening from 10:00 - 4:00 and we want to show our support for community members speaking up for worker protections, affordable housing, harm reduction services and more. Sign up here for more information!

At a time when vulnerable community members are facing unprecedented attacks from the federal government, we need a city government that will fight for us. Mayor Parker has proposed tax giveaways for billioniares and housing policies that will line the pockets of developers instead of everyday Philadelphians. This is our chance to have our voices heard and tell City Council that we need a People's Budget that works for all of us.
