Check Out Practical Abolition Part 4 'Transforming Justice'

For years we’ve served up only punishment and incarceration as justice and its left many crime survivors feeling like their needs weren’t met. Many people want answers and they want to see the person who harmed them change for the better so they don't continue to hurt people.

In the fourth installment of our Practical Abolition series with artist Erik Ruin, we explore what it would mean to stop sending so many people to prison and to invest in county wide restorative justice programs instead of incarceration. These community rooted initiatives could be places where survivors of crime could hold the person who harmed them accountable by letting them know how it felt to be harmed -and- where the person responsible for the harm can make a plan and get support to change for the better.

Another world is possible. We need only harness our imaginations and get people organized to bring it into being. Watch the episode below and check out other episodes of Practical Abolition.
